Our client has the fastest-growing music school in the world and currently teaches violin to 2000+ students. They are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Online Violin Teachers to join their team of passionate instructors. You will teach 10 - 30 violin students, mostly beginners, via Zoom. Your job is to teach and retain these students and hopefully to have fun with it!

Requirements :

  • 2+ years' experience teaching beginner violin.
  • Experience teaching violin on Zoom.
  • Deep empathy for the journey of each student.
  • Some experience with technology. We use several tech products and have our in-house engineering team.
  • Preference will be given to teachers looking to teach 20+ hours per week, with some evening and / or weekend availability.

Expectations after being hired :

  • Weeks 1-2 : training on our curriculum and tech tools.
  • Weeks 3-5 :
  • We will match you with 2 - 5 new students per week. You will reach out to these students and then start teaching!
  • Teach new students. Convert first-time students to continue learning with us by scheduling their second lesson and retaining those students.
  • Weeks 6+ :
  • Daily : teach 1-on-1 violin lessons over Zoom. Send wrap-ups and nurture your students throughout the week to help them progress.
  • Weekly : attend training sessions with other teachers around technology, studio management, and pedagogy.
  • Every couple of months : Teach a group class or workshop. Cheer your students on at a recital. Participate in other team events.

    • As part of the application process, we kindly request that you submit a 3-5 minute video demonstrating your teaching abilities. You may choose one of the following options :

  • Option 1 : Demonstrate how you would teach a beginner bow hold.
  • Option 2 : Demonstrate how you would guide a new student to tune their violin.
  • Option 3 : Demonstrate how you would explain the right arm mechanics to a beginner violinist.

    • This video will provide valuable insights into your teaching style and ability to convey essential violin techniques to students. Please ensure the video is clear, well-structured, and showcases your expertise as an Online Violin Teacher.
