Technical Librarian - Dispatch

Job Purpose

To support the Flight Operations and Engineering Maintenance teams with timely and accurate provision and update of all technical information, documents, modifications and changes necessary for the aircrafts technical library. Ensures Pilots and Cabin Crew are updated with reliable and efficient data needed for successful operations.

Key Result Responsibilities

• Review Airline network of operations database and maintain the Navigation route manuals and FMS navigation data coverage to ensure that all the required navigation information is available.
• Monitors the AIRAC cycles and download FMS navigation data base for all fleet and provides MCC with diskettes / USBs for uploading on the aircraft for Air Arabia Group
• Actions on the JL remarks made regarding the discrepancies on navigational Charts & FMS NAVDB for rectification
• Maintain and update Navigation Charts, Flight ops Library and FMS NAVDB in the simulator for pilots training
• Maintain records for the status of aircraft library manuals and other documentations on board
• Familiar with Publication Officer’s duties & responsibilities to deputies him when he is not available
• Maintain and revise the Flight Operations library soft copy and hard copy on board
• Update and maintain Flight operations library in the back up bags
• Reviews and maintains the Flight Dispatch Library documentation on a regular basis to ensure it is up to date.
• Liaises with the MCC to identify and report to supervisor and management any shortcomings on the flight documentation and FMS database on the JL on regular basis to rectify accordingly.
• Maintains updated records associated with all leased-in aircrafts
• Update Fly smart application in all ABY fleet with Latest database before start of the new AIRAC cycle
• Review and update aircraft certificates for all MAC fleet.
• Conduct periodic visit to aircraft to check and review all documents
• Review or create new process as and when new fleet is added to Air Arabia network
• Responsible for Maintenance manual distribution to outstation and home base fleets
• Coordinate with all base flight operations coordinator for any missing documents or support required
