Data Scientist (Trucking Safety)

Description de posteDevelop predictive models to identify drivers who are at higher risk of accidents or moving violations. Analyze driver behavior, vehicle data, and incident reports to uncover patterns that contribute to unsafe driving. Evaluate the impact of safety initiatives (training, policy changes, technology deployment, etc.) on reducing incidents and improving compliance. Design experiments and apply statistical techniques to validate the effectiveness of safety programs. Collaborate with operations, compliance, and engineering teams to turn insights into actionable improvements. Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders through clear visualizations and reporting. Strong proficiency in Python or R, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Experience with predictive modeling, machine learning, and statistical analysis. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex results to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of telematics, ELD (Electronic Logging Devices), or safety compliance systems. Prior experience working in the trucking, logistics, or transportation safety domain.

Our client is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Data Scientist to join our AI tech startup. In this role, you will focus on uncovering data-driven insights related to safety in the trucking industry
