- Develops and executes multi-year sourcing strategy for assigned commodities by gathering business requirements, identifies / prequalifies potential suppliers by evaluating product offerings, recommends suppliers that achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service so that inventory levels and supply chain operations meet TE’s requirements.
- Develops and distributes RFPs / RFQs and collects bids or other information and evaluates proposals / quotes.
- Executes the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and / or technical continuous improvement; collaborates across TE BUs and / or regions for optimal leverage, aligning strategy and execution with cross functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and other functions.
- Negotiates contracts with selected suppliers to develop mutually acceptable contractual agreements, ensuring that all procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations, and tracks supplier performance and compliance with expectations or contractual terms.
- Project management by coordinating resources between TE internal teams (procurement and other functions) and external suppliers, driving procurement activities globally to support business transformation, value add value engineering and NPI projects with external suppliers.
- Instructs new suppliers on how to work with TE (contract readiness, supplier portal access, tool usage, procedures, TEOA, etc.).
- Ensure NPI procurement deliverables alignment to PBL sourcing strategy.
- Ensures a total procurement solution (supplier footprint, total landed cost, etc).
- Responsible for BU TEOA-P (TE Operating Advantage in Procurement for continuous improvement).
- Drive supplier activities to meet TE compliance requirements such as RoHS, REACH, Conflict Minerals, low-Hal, green energy, supplier social responsibilities, etc.
- Drives the attainment of relevant procurement KPI’s, incl. material productivity, supplier delivery and quality, time to market for new projects and supplier compliance requirements.
- Build, develop, lead, and inspire team. Upgrades competency with mentoring, training, and motivation.
What Your Background Should Look Like
