Job description

Financial Administration

  • Maintains accurate financial records in accordance with IFRS and internal policies.
  • Performs daily bank reconciliations and ensures accuracy of cash balances.
  • Prepares and reviews payments using various banking systems.
  • Supports the CFO in preparing for external audits and compiles audit packs, including VAT 201 submissions.
  • Oversees accounts payable, ensuring timely invoice processing and payment execution.
  • Ensures ERP system data integrity and supports other departments with ad hoc analysis.

Financial Reporting

  • Assists with month-end close processes, including journal entries and financial reporting.
  • Participates in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Supports the development of monthly schedules and internal control procedures.
  • Prepares statutory reports and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance & SHEQ Responsibilities

  • Ensures compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and company safety policies.
  • Participates in Integrated Management System (IMS) initiatives.
  • Identifies and reports risks, incidents, and non-conformance.
  • Upholds hygiene, safety, and health standards in the Finance Office.

    Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Experience

  • Over 5 years' experience in an Accounting or Finance environment
  • Experience handling foreign currencies and maintaining general ledgers
  • Experience in doing operational wand administrative work.
  • Technical Skills & Knowledge

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Proficient in SAGE / Pastel Evolution
  • In-depth knowledge of IFRS 16, GAAP, and financial regulations
  • Familiarity with ISO standard requirements

  • Effective communicator with the ability to present financial data clearly

  • Expected to stay informed of risks and hazards outlined in the company's HIRA documentation and report any new issues proactively.
