The centre has 3 main departments :
The Capacity Building Department
The selected candidate will work in the Capacity Building Programs Department (CBP). The department conducts collaborative and contextualized training and builds practical tools to enhance the capacities of government and non-government partners to design and implement effective policies, programs and projects in CVE. This includes projects related to preventing violent extremism through education, rehabilitation and reintegration of violent extremist offenders, National Action Plans to prevent and counter violent extremism, supporting families in CVE, and community oriented policing, STRIVE Global supporting and building the capacity of local NGO’s and research institutions, among many others.
The Project you will work on
Your contribution will advance the work of the capacity building department in Morocco, specifically its program, Rehabilitation and Reintegration of Women and Children, in partnership with the Mohamed VI Foundation for the Reintegration of Detainees. The program started in September 2021 and aims to strengthen the skills and competences of the social workers of the 12 different centers of Mohamed VI Foundation, so as to support their work in rehabilitating and reintegrating women and children into the society. Indeed, the foundation holds the legal mandate to reintegrate detainees upon their release including those convicted for terrorist offences, and works with their family members, including vulnerable women and children returning from conflict zones and / or exposed to violent extremism.

The expert will report to the Program Manager of the capacity building team and will subsequently work alongside the team. The selected candidate will start working from September 2023 until March 2024.
