Job description

The Project Manager (Retail & F&B) is responsible for leading the end-to-end delivery of retail and food & beverage projects, including new store openings, refurbishments, and renovations. This role involves managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring all projects meet the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate brings a solid background in retail and F&B operations, with proven experience coordinating cross-functional teams across construction, design, and operations.

Project Planning & Execution :

  • Develop comprehensive project plans outlining timelines, budgets, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee the full project lifecycle, from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams (operations, marketing, procurement, etc.) and external stakeholders (architects, contractors, suppliers) to ensure smooth and efficient project execution

New Store Openings & Renovations :

  • Drive the planning and execution of new retail store and restaurant openings, as well as refurbishment projects across F&B and retail outlets.
  • Ensure all projects align with brand guidelines, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and meet operational specifications.
  • Oversee fit-out works, equipment installation, and final handover, coordinating with mall landlords, local authorities, and all relevant stakeholders.
  • Quality Assurance & Standards :

  • Enforce rigorous quality control measures to ensure all projects comply with brand guidelines and operational standards.
  • Supervise the selection of materials, equipment, and contractors to guarantee alignment with the company's quality expectations and consistency across all locations.
  • The Successful Applicant

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of proven experience in project management, with a strong focus on retail and F&B environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of local building codes, health and safety regulations, and compliance standards specific to retail and food & beverage operations.
  • Demonstrated success in managing new store and restaurant openings, as well as renovation projects, particularly in high-traffic commercial settings.
  • Project Management Expertise : Demonstrated success in leading large-scale retail and F&B projects, including new openings, expansions, and refurbishments.
  • Leadership : Proven ability to lead, inspire, and coordinate cross-functional teams toward successful project delivery.
  • Budget Management : Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Stakeholder Management : Skilled in building and maintaining effective relationships with internal departments and external partners such as contractors, landlords, and suppliers.
  • Time Management : Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting strict deadlines.
  • Communication : Clear and confident communicator, capable of adapting messaging for diverse audiences and managing expectations at all levels.
  • Problem Solving : Analytical mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges, resolve issues proactively, and implement practical solutions.
