Job description1-3 years of experience working with Unix-based systems Familiarity with Unix-based operating systems (e.g., Linux, Solaris, AIX) Understanding of TCP / IP networking and related protocols Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., shell, Perl, Python) Knowledge of system security best practices Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work collaboratively with other IT teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills Engineering degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified System Administrator, CompTIA Linux+) are a plus
Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Unix Engineer to join our team. As a Junior Unix Engineer, you will work under the supervision of senior engineers to support and maintain our Unix-based systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our Unix systems.
Responsibilities :
- Assist senior engineers in managing and maintaining Unix-based systems
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Install and configure hardware and software components on Unix systems
- Maintain system security and ensure compliance with industry standards
- Create and maintain system documentation
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
- Collaborate with other IT teams to provide seamless service to clients
