A Snapshot of Your Day

As a Customs Compliance Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient processing of import / export operations in accordance with ECC regulations and local Moroccan legislation. This role will require close collaboration with internal and external partners, as well as authorities, to optimize our customs procedures, control broker activities, and manage import / export licenses.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Operate import and export customs clearance in cooperation with internal and external partners, by using the relevant ERP / SAP / trade solution processes.
  • Analyze and classify goods in accordance with customs regulations and considering the technical characteristics required for the classification process.
  • Analyze trade documents required for customs clearance and related processes for suppliers, associations, and other relevant market participants.
  • Calculate and determine the country of origin (preferential and non-preferential).
  • Broker Management : Instruct, control, and monitor brokerage activities.
  • Approve and coordinate payment transactions with banks and customs offices.

What You Bring

  • University or college degree as Bachelor / Master or equivalent degree in the fields of customs / economics, foreign trade law or comparable
  • At least 2-5 years of experience in the field of customs and have a high level of professional knowledge, process-wise but also regarding customs and foreign trade regulations and logistics
  • You have the capability to translate legal requirements into processes and systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic to ensure clear communication within the organization as well as towards local customs authorities.
  • First international experience (work in international teams, work abroad) is a plus.
  • Experience in customs / ERP IT systems would be a plus
