Your role

Responsible for ensuring the integrity of the company’s financial operations by overseeing the accounting and financial activities of the team.

Also ensures service quality and compliance of Global Business Services (GBS), coordinates the closure of statutory financial statements, and manages audits.

Main responsibilities :

Ensure accounting and tax compliance for Morocco and Gabon, in coordination with Global Business Services (GBS) and local partners if necessary.

Supervise the service quality of GBS for accounting and financial operations. Identify discrepancies and propose improvement plans.

Approve balance sheet reconciliations prepared by GBS and ensure the reliability of accounting data.

Prepare or oversee the preparation of tax returns (VAT, corporate tax, etc.) in compliance with local regulations and deadlines.

Coordinate monthly and annual closings, and the production of statutory financial statements.

Supervise external audits (statutory auditors) and respond to information requests.

Manage banking relationships, monitor cash flow, and ensure the availability of liquidity for local operations.

Monitor and manage tax audits, with support from external advisors when necessary.

Handle certain administrative matters related to legal compliance (commercial registry, certifications, correspondence with authorities, etc.).

Contribute to transformation projects, especially the digitization of financial processes and implementation of e-invoicing systems in line with tax authorities and other group-initiated projects.

Main requirements : Technical Skills

Excellent command of IFRS accounting standards and the Moroccan General Accounting Plan (PCGM).

Higher education in accounting / finance (e.g., Master’s degree in Accounting, DSCG, or equivalent).

Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a multinational environment.

Strong experience in financial reporting and preparing financial statements.

Proven experience in external audits and managing relationships with auditors.

Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with reporting tools.

Good understanding of accounting closing and data consolidation processes.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Ability to manage complexity, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines.

Excellent ability to communicate financial information clearly and logically.

Autonomous and proactive, while also being an effective team player.

Strong attention to detail, reliability, and precision.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with a range of stakeholders (internal and external).
