Sr Datacenter Engineer (team lead)

The Sr Datacenter Engineer (team lead) within APMT TECH HUBS Service Delivery team is overviewing, orchestrating as well as executing on Datacenter related project- and business as usual activities including cyber security related activities.

He / she is leading a small team of Datacenter experts, making sure all activities within the Datacenter domain which are taking place in several terminals around the globe are executed in a standardized, coherent and efficient manner. He / she is working together with both internal colleagues accros the international organization as well as vendors and third parties.

Main activities are around

• driving infrastructural standardization in line with corporate TECH strategy
• implementation of global and local programs and solutions
• managing lifecycle of datacenter related equipment and solutions
• transitioning responsibility, activities and the organization as a whole from local provisioning to global provisioning of IT services
• driving, overviewing and managing team of datacenter related employees (some hierarchically, some functionally)

This is a great role for a person who is solidly knowledgeable on Datacenter technologies (H / W, VMWare, OS (Windows / Linux), Databases), has a minimum of 5 years strong hands-on experience and has made a good first start in managing to further grow into a more senior leadership position. The position requires good relational skills and capability to focus and drive to get things done. No 9 to 5 mentality as terminals need to be operating 24x7.

English proficiency is a must, understanding of terminal or maritime industry a definite pre.
