Morocco country manager

JOB PURPOSE :

This role is within the Portfolio Division of MIE Events and to develop a portfolio of events and stand-alone projects in Morocco.

In alignment with MIE Groups’ overall strategy, the Country Manager will be developing high-level B2B events that cover the multi-sector and industries of the region.

The Country Manager’s role is an important aspect of future business growth within the group and the expansion of the North African Territory.

The role of the Country Manager is to deliver the following :

JOB RESPONSIBILITY :

Manage every aspect of our newly expanding operation in Morocco

Develop & recruit marketing and production teams with local expertise

Mentor direct reports, especially in regard to our values and vision

Strategically align Government & Industry partnerships for our Morocco events

Collaborate with local businesses to acquire all necessary resources and services

Conduct extensive research regarding the market and learn everything possible

Collaborate with leadership to strategise how best to develop new products

Negotiate with suppliers, service providers & contractors to get best rates

Advise and predict on the effects of culture, customs within the business community

Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on progress and development

Network effectively with local clients and develop strong professional relationships

Work to ensure deadlines are met and budgets are maintained

Adapt the business model to be culturally relevant without losing its global identity

Contribute to the overall global success of our company

KEY SKILLS :

10 years or more experience in Exhibition & Event Management within Morocco & Region

Significant experience in Business Development, Financial Management, Marketing & Government Relations

Exceptionally well organized, driven by success & thrives in high-pressure situations

Outstanding negotiating skills

Analytical thinker with superior problem-solving skills

A natural leader who inspires and motivates those around them

Fluent in French, Arabic & English
