The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the achievement of business objectives by shaping the people / HR strategy for Cipla Maroc & Algeria region - cutting across the entire gamut of HR systems / policies pertaining to the employee lifecycle - and managing its smooth implementation across the business

Key Accountabilities

Shape and recommend the focus areas for Cipla Maroc and Algeria and provide inputs related to people / processes that align with the future business needs for the region

  • Engage with the business leaders on an ongoing basis to understand emerging requirements related to people and processes that align with future growth aspirations of the business
  • Identify and recommend key focus areas of HR for the business and ensure they are in line with the overall HR strategy for Cipla
  • Plan the distribution of allocated budget across various interventions and ensure adherence to the planned budget
  • Seamless execution of operations management of all HR processes, cutting across talent acquisition, talent management, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, and other systems that impact the employee lifecycle
  • Interact with the COEs to share inputs around the needs of Cipla Maroc and Algeria to arrive at more customized interventions for the business

Oversee and execute the talent acquisition process for roles across levels to ensure on-time hiring and integration of the desired talent

  • Prepare a manpower plan for the Cipla Maroc and Algeria Legal Entities basis an understanding of emerging talent requirements for current and future roles; ensure that the plan optimizes manpower costs
  • Identify and interact with external channels and recruitment partners to provide an understanding of position profiles, and related skill requirement
  • Manage the process of on-boarding and induction of new employees and provide them support to settle down into the organization
  • Conduct a study on hiring intakes and gain feedback from recent hires to identify ways to improve
  • Implement the talent and performance management processes for Cipla Maroc & Algeria to ensure continuous identification and development of key talent

  • Drive the annual performance appraisal process in the business / function direction in strict adherence to the specified timelines
  • Facilitate the creation of goal sheets and the performance review conversations
  • Carry out performance rating normalization at the business unit / function level and ensure communication of final performance ratings by the appraisers to the respective appraises
  • Develop succession plans in line with the framework shared by the CoE and provide inputs around the appropriate career plan for each employee
  • Implement activities related to improving employee engagement and satisfaction for employees across all levels
  • Implement and communicate annual increment decisions, in alignment with the CoE and Business leaders
  • Execute the overall reward and recognition program to build a conducive work environment
  • Drive training and development processes at the business level to ensure that technical and functional skill development needs are adequately met

  • Gain a thorough understanding of departmental needs in terms of capabilities and existing gaps
  • Partner with the Business HR & L&D CoE to customize existing training program architecture to suit business needs
  • Oversee the implementation of planned training programs and address bottlenecks where applicable
  • Gather feedback on training programs to improve the content being covered
  • Manage the smooth implementation of processes related to critical employee lifecycle stages – such as on boarding, exit management and employee relations to ensure a healthy and productive work environment

  • Initiate and manage disciplinary proceedings in cases of employee misconduct
  • Manage the separation (termination / resignation) process for employees; use the analytics from data gathered in exit interviews to identify improvements that can be made to employee life cycle processes
  • Develop a compliance framework and drive this through the business unit.
  • Oversee and ensure all statutory compliances related to human resources and address queries where applicable
  • Design & execute employee engagement initiatives
  • Drive Mi Voice Global Engagement Surveys and build action plan to further strengthen the engagement scores for the region.
  • Design and drive the communication plan for all HR initiatives to ensure information is cascaded in the right manner to all employees
  • Drive the employee benefits for Cipla Maroc and Algeria based roles
  • Select and monitor vendors for various categories
  • Create awareness of Cipla benefits for Medical and other plans
  • Manage immigration and other processes for expats being deployed in Cipla Maroc and Algeria
  • Oversee the payroll function of Cipla Maroc and Algeria to enable on time processing and query resolution as well as maintain adherence to any relevant regulatory guidelines and compliances

  • Monitor data integrity and timely submission to the payroll vendor to ensure no delays in processing
  • Do periodic reviews to maintain adherence to necessary Govt. and Cipla compliance and regulatory guidelines
  • Define, implement and monitor payroll processes as per defined Govt. regulations for non-exempt employees

  • Skills & Knowledge

    Educational qualifications :

  • Graduate with a PG degree / diploma in Human Resource Management or an MBA equivalent
  • Relevant experience :

    4 + years’ experience in HR Management preferably into Business Partnering or HR Generalist role.

    Should be comfortable working as a Individual Contributor role.

    Skills :

  • Understanding of the Maroc and Algeria Ecosystem
