We are a service company based in Canada, and we are currently seeking a permanent Remote Accountant to join our team.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities :
- Full Cycle Bookkeeping for the organization
- Ensure timely completion of bi-weekly payroll using QuickBooks
- Training and management of bookkeeping assistant
- Handle accounts payable and receivable, including follow-up on collections
- Collaborate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies
- Reconcile cash, credit card, and bank balances on a monthly basis
- Process employees' RSP contributions
- Prepare and submit government remittances in compliance with current regulations
- Conduct month and year-end reconciliations
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with both internal and external customers
- Manage correspondence and maintain electronic and physical filing systems
- Create, update and maintain employee administrative records
- Administrative insurance policy and vehicle fleet management
- Administrative management of government grants and programs
- Perform other assigned duties as required
