TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To support the legal affairs of North African markets, this including those managed by a local legal entity and those managed by other legal entities of the group
To give accurate and timely advise on a wide range of legal affairs (company law, competition law, data privacy law, labor law, commercial law, food law, marketing law, intellectual property law…) within the described geographic perimeter;
To support projects implementation in African clusters;
To ensure compliance with the Group policies, delivering trainings to reinforce the culture of compliance and deploying all compliance programs and tools;
To draft and to review legal framework for commercial agreements, these being sales and distribution contracts as well as any other contract necessary to support the proper running of the business (service contracts, logistics,…);
To provide legal advice identifying potential issues related to the business activity, including claims and court case risks assessment;
To communicate and to negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, counter parties etc.), creating relations of trust;
To assure the compliance with local and applicable regulations and to provide professional guidance to ensure the proper interpretation of national and international law;
To keep updated all involved company functions on new legislation, regulations and case-law developments which might affect operations;
To ensure compliance with food legislations of the products sold in the markets of the Region, as well as to ensure compliance of products claims, advertising messages;
To monitor the local legal budget and cost trends, reporting to the Region any main variance;
To handle the IPRs infringements and aligning with the Region Counsel and with the IP Centre as might be agreed from time to time.
Competences
Strong written and verbal communications skills (including legal drafting skills);

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and maturity;
Ability to effectively advise on risk mitigation and provide legal solutions that meet business objectives;
