The Air Freight Supervisoris responsible for operating the complete Air freight product. The right candidate will ensure the continuous improvement in customer service through clearly communicating customer expectations and managing the implementation of necessary operational and customer service practices. Monitoring exceptional incidents and conducts investigation on incident with the recommended corrective action.
Responsibilities
- Building relationships with air freight carriers and stakeholders
- Launching new inbound and outbound trade routes in order to be more competitive in the market
- Responsible for productivity and efficiency in air freight department
- Supporting the sales team in promoting and growing air freight product.
- Monitoring air freight industry dynamics and trends
- Prepare, verify / correct together with operations, analyse and provide volume statistics to head office
- Implement regional air freight strategy in order to meet strategic company goals for air freight import and export business
- Meet budgets for air freight business and trade lane development
- Develop innovative and profitable products and meet budgets for product development
- End-to-end responsibility for air freight process efficiency & quality
- Creates KPI (Key performance indicators) to measure operations procedures and performance;
- Maintain and improve GP margin according to Business Unit strategic objectives
- Lead team to meet or exceed company objectives in areas of quality, productivity, and efficiency to maximize company benefits while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Establishes and maintains strong relationships with airlines and other suppliers in order to obtain best services and fees
- Interacts with customers to gain an understanding of their requirements and to receive their feedback for a prompt solution
- Assures that the Gateway own or third-party operations perform under high quality standards by monitoring, guiding and supporting them of assigned key accounts;
- Apply innovative ideas in areas of assignment, both in operational methodology as well as in staff training to achieve team competence in support of employee career development along with customer satisfaction
- Ensure correspondence regarding customer service is efficiently process to customer expectations.
Qualifications
Minimum 8 years working experience with minimum of 5 years’ experience in handling the air product in the freight forwarding industry;Proficiency in organizing, planning, prioritizing, assigning and controlling shipments;Degree holder in Business Administration / Logistics or equivalentGood interpersonal skills with different kind of cultures and people;Good command of spoken English is required.
